e-Government - Online Services
Moving Pittsford into the Digital Age ...
We are proud to introduce our NEW Website and the introduction of new online services and Pittsford's evolution towards e-Government. By definition: "e-Government (from electronic government, also known as e-gov, digital government or online government) refers to government's use of information technology to exchange information and services with citizens, businesses, and other arms of government. e-Government may be applied by the legislature, judiciary, or administration, in order to improve internal efficiency, the delivery of public services, or processes of democratic governance."
Today's electronic age is evolving in how our Government and Citizens interact, we are investigating more ways to develop this "always open" environment to best serve citizens. We are working towards having as many services as possible online over the next few years, this evolution is exciting and an initiative we are proud of.
